Fortune Teller

I’m no fortune teller, I’m no gypsy with a Crystal Ball

I’m no story teller, no sorceress seeing faces in a flame

Oh, I’m no Voodoo woman, I ain’t got eyes as dark as hell

No, I’m no Magic woman, I can’t force the sun to shine again

See the rain fall, see it pour

Splashing water, washing

Feel the wind blow but stand tall

Like a Willow Tree, aging

I can’t see the future, I don’t know what’s ahead of us

There’s no path in the distance, I only know what’s here right now

I won’t see a storm come, I can’t read a hand offered to me

No clue in between the lines, no fairy tales to cover truth

See the rain fall, see it pour

Splashing water, washing

Feel the wind blow but stand tall

Like an Old Oak Tree, aging

Cities drown in salty water. Rivers seem to rise a flood

Pushed up by a bigger force. Thrown down from a blackened sky

Dark waves and washing water cover ancient streets

Breaking houses, floating wood. The wind roars ‘n destroys

See the rain fall, pouring down

Splashing water, washing

Feel the wind blow but stand tall

Like an Old Oak Tree, aging ... aging
