Christmas 2022 - The making of our Christmas Card

This year we decided to bring all of our wind instruments for the Christmas-photo. And it was so much fun. Blowing together in all kinds of notes on every photo was hilarious, it really cracked me up. Like blowing our best Christmas Wishes coming from the heart. But the sound of these 3 instruments together was wonderful, really amazing, to all 3 of us. So I guess we've started something up here. I hope so!

Richard has an old Saxophone from his Granddad, a beautiful antique looking instrument, with also a beautiful sound. Too bad you can't hear it on the photos. And he actually can play it a bit. He knows where to find the notes and he can blow them right. So with a little motivation we might get him to play it in a song. Wouldn't that be something?! I'm absolutely in.

Jan has a Trumpet. He once was looking for a trumpet and was recommended a Clarinet. So a Clarinet he bought. Also a great instrument with great sound. You have heard it in a few songs, like Spanish Butterfly for example. But there was still the call of the Trumpet. Especially the thought to play it together with the Trombone. So a few years ago we went for it. It's a great instrument, I love it and I can hardly wait to bring it in. But it needs some more time, some more practice for Jan before you will hear it in one of our songs.

Me, I still have my Trombone. I think I have the most practice on a windinstrument of the 3 of us. Yet I still feel like a rookie compared to the musician I listen to. But by now you can hear it in quite some LeT songs on our CD's. I still love the sound of it and I love to play it and hope to grow into it a bit more. So I was happy to bring it.

The cat , can you find her on 2 photos?

That is our Bobbi. She just had to be there with me when I built the set.  She had to sit in it and sniff on everything. It was worth a few photos.

The photo's are not the best. For some reason I totally forgot how to do this, how to get a nice atmosphere, with enough light and and not too much noise in the picture. I guess I needed some set-lights I don't have. But we've had fun, and we have our Christmas pix!

Merry Christmas!!!
